Our partner is a UK registered charity working to place research and knowledge at the heart of development. They support individuals and institutions across Africa, Latin America and Asia to produce, share and use research and knowledge for lasting social change.
The Treasurer will join the Board and provide strategic financial oversight as the charity implements its new organisational strategy. Working with the Executive Director, Finance Manager, Chair and trustees, they will advise on financial strategy, reserves, risk, controls and sustainability, and chair the Finance and Audit Committee.
The ideal candidate will bring senior finance experience and the confidence to operate at Board level, offering clear advice, constructive challenge and strategic perspective. Experience of charity or non-profit finance, audit, governance, budgeting or international development would be valuable. UK charity finance knowledge would be helpful, although strong non-profit finance experience from other jurisdictions will also be considered.
This is a rewarding voluntary role with an international charity rooted in equitable partnership, learning and long term capacity development. The organisation is particularly interested in candidates with experience or perspective from the Global South, wherever they are currently based.
