Finance Advisory Support

A focused remote advisory assignment for a senior finance professional to support a growing mission driven social enterprise as it develops clearer budgeting, forecasting and three year planning tools.

Our partner is an early stage, founder led social enterprise working at the intersection of Black Southern culture, food systems, cultural heritage, community programming and education. The organisation has grown quickly and now operates through a hybrid structure, with both nonprofit and earned income activity.

They are seeking an experienced finance professional to provide a short, focused remote advisory consultation. This is a light touch role, designed to help the founder think through the financial systems, budgeting and planning tools needed as the organisation prepares for its next stage of growth.

Key areas of support are likely to include:

  • Thinking through a clearer budgeting and forecasting approach, including how organisational, programme and earned income budgets relate to one another.
  • Helping the founder reflect income, costs and staffing assumptions across grant funded and earned income activity.
  • Beginning to shape a practical three year financial planning framework.
  • Identifying simple, proportionate tools to support future funding applications, staffing decisions and sustainability planning.

This would suit a senior finance professional with experience in nonprofit or social enterprise finance, budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and supporting founders or small organisations through growth.

Experience with hybrid nonprofit and earned income models would be particularly helpful.

The support will be delivered remotely and is expected to be completed within around 5 hours, likely through two short calls, with light preparation or follow-up as agreed.
