Finance Board Advisor
Our partner is a Caribbean nonprofit supporting women farmers through agricultural training, mentorship, access to resources and finance, and improved routes to market. Working across Saint Lucia and neighbouring islands, they use agriculture as a pathway to greater economic security, gender equality, food security and climate resilience.
The Finance Board Advisor will provide strategic financial guidance to the Board and leadership team as the organisation continues to grow. They will act as a trusted thought partner, helping strengthen financial oversight, long-term planning, sustainability and informed Board decision-making.
The ideal candidate will bring senior finance experience and the ability to communicate financial information clearly and constructively to a non-finance audience. Experience within a nonprofit organisation would be valuable, while an understanding of the Caribbean financial and operating context would be particularly welcome.
This is a non-executive advisory position rather than a registered Director or hands-on finance role and can be undertaken remotely. The core commitment is approximately two hours per quarter for Board meetings. A three or four day Board retreat in Saint Lucia is also anticipated, with attendance encouraged where feasible.
