Annual Mentor
We are seeking a senior international NGO finance or operations leader to mentor an experienced International Finance Manager working with a large global NGO operating across 30+ countries.
The mentee has strong field-based finance experience across a range of complex international settings, including Zimbabwe, Afghanistan, Somalia, Iraq and Central America. She is currently supporting multiple country programmes in Central America, with responsibilities spanning finance, payroll, logistics, operational coordination and wider support services.
This mentorship would provide a confidential sounding board and senior-level perspective for someone working in a demanding international finance and operations environment. The focus will be on sharing practical insight, broadening exposure to different organisational structures, and helping the mentee reflect on approaches used across large INGOs, UN agencies or other major international organisations.
The ideal mentor will have senior experience in international NGOs, and ideally some exposure to UN, multilateral or large global organisation environments. Field-based experience would be particularly valuable, as would experience of working across different countries, systems, operating models, ERPs or organisational structures.
Recent experience of ERP transformation, finance systems change, SOP development or operating model improvements would be helpful, particularly within a large international NGO or global organisation context.
This would suit someone approachable, grounded and supportive, who can offer honest but encouraging challenge, strategic perspective and practical insight from their own international leadership experience.
