Treasurer

A strategic Treasurer role supporting the financial sustainability and governance of a growing charity working with young people at risk of serious youth violence.

Our partner is a West London charity working with young people at risk of serious youth violence, alongside their families and wider networks. Through therapeutic outreach, education, training and family support, it aims to address some of the underlying emotional drivers of violence.

The Treasurer will join the Board at an important stage in the charity’s development. A new accountancy partner has recently been appointed, the organisation is moving onto Xero and its financial policies and governance arrangements are being strengthened.

Working closely with the CEO and senior team, the Treasurer will oversee financial performance, budgets, cash flow, controls, risk and reporting, while also supporting compliance, longer-term planning and financial sustainability.

The ideal candidate will bring strong financial management, accounting or budgeting experience and be able to explain financial information clearly. A professional accounting qualification, previous Board experience and charity finance knowledge would be useful but are not essential.

The Board meets four times per year online, with quarterly Finance Sub-Committee meetings, regular contact between meetings and one in-person away day each year.
