Our partner is a Leeds-based community housing organisation that brings long-term empty and derelict properties back into use as high-quality homes for people who are homeless or experiencing housing crisis. Alongside housing, it provides personalised, trauma-informed support to help tenants rebuild their lives and move towards greater independence.
The Treasurer will join the Board and provide strategic oversight of financial health, sustainability and governance. Working closely with the CEO and Finance Director, they will review budgets, forecasts and financial reporting, oversee controls, reserves and cash flow, support the audit process and contribute to longer-term planning and investment decisions.
The ideal candidate will bring strong financial expertise, an understanding of governance, controls and risk, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly. Experience in housing, social purpose organisations or community-led enterprises would be valuable but is not essential.
The Board meets four times per year plus the AGM, with the Finance Sub-Group also typically meeting four times annually. A supportive handover from the outgoing Treasurer and full induction will be available.
